Dean's Pastoral Message

Peace be with you.

Holy Blessings to all of you who have found their way to this site, whether you are a Lutheran in the Atlantic Conference getting information, on vacation looking for a place to worship, are seeking a community, or just curious. Welcome!

It is an honour that you have dropped by so I can share a word or two with you. You are personally invited to any of our congregations, where you will be welcomed with open arms; that doesn’t mean a hug, some of us are more shy than others. If you need a hug feel free to ask.

That being said, our communities are open and everyone is invited to the Lord’s Table to eat with us. This is one of the places we meet Jesus.

Our emphasis throughout the Evangelical Lutheran Church In Canada (ELCIC) at this time is to be In Mission For Others; that means we are trying to be out in the world, on our streets, doing ministry, being Christ’s hands in the world. Sometimes we are better at this than others. Feel free to join us on this journey as we spread the Good News, by sharing God’s love.

If you have questions, ideas, concerns, like debating, need a shoulder to cry on, a community to sing with, a way to share love, . . . please, do not hesitate to call any of the contact numbers found on this site (you can call all of them if you are really gung-ho). Or surprise us some Sunday by walking into church and giving one of us a big hug.
